W. H. Vanderbilt, (1821-1885), Financier, Railroad Executive. Son of Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt (1794-1877) and father of Cornelius Vanderbilt (1843-1899). William H. is often thought of as the most important of the Vanderbilt clan. He writes a brief note at the bottom of this Hudson River RR letter dated 1866. Especially nice signature as Vice President. Quite Rare and a Popular Financial Autograph!!!
