The entity formerly known as Rexnord Corporation was a multi-platform industrial company that served diverse global markets with precision-engineered components. Its history began in 1891 as the Chain Belt Company, founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Over more than a century, the company built a strong reputation by providing industrial drives, gears, bearings, couplings, conveyor systems, and other components vital to manufacturing, aerospace, and water management sectors. In a significant shift in 2021, Rexnord completed a merger with Regal Beloit Corporation to form the much larger Regal Rexnord Corporation.
This merger with Regal Beloit marked a major corporate restructuring for the historic Rexnord brand. Prior to the merger, the company had already divested its Water Management division, which was spun off as the independent Zurn Water Solutions Corporation. The merger saw the former Rexnord Process & Motion Control segment integrated with Regal Beloit, creating a power transmission giant under the Regal Rexnord banner. Today, the Rexnord name continues as a brand within the Regal Rexnord portfolio, focused on products like bearings and couplings, while the larger parent company offers a comprehensive range of industrial motion and control solutions.
Stock and Bond Specimens are made and usually retained by a printer as a record of the contract with a client, generally with manuscript contract notes such as the quantity printed. Specimens are sometimes produced for use by the printing company's sales team as examples of the firm’s products. These are usually marked "Specimen" and have no serial numbers.
