Prinair was a charter airline based in Puerto Rico that functioned as the domestic and international flag carrier for the island for nearly twenty years, from the mid-1960s until the mid-1980s. After suspending scheduled commercial operations on two occasions, the airline resumed charter services in 2019. It commenced operations in 1966 under the name Aerolíneas de Ponce (Ponce Airlines), utilizing Aero Commander aircraft. Initially, it provided flights between Mercedita Airport in Ponce and Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (formerly known as Isla Verde International Airport) in San Juan.

The airline rebranded to Prinair the following year, signifying Puerto Rico International Air Lines. Subsequently, Prinair operated de Havilland Heron piston-engine aircraft, upgrading them with 300 hp Continental IO-520 engines in place of the original 250 hp Gipsy Queen 30-2 engines. At its zenith, Prinair maintained the largest fleet of Heron aircraft globally, comprising over 20 planes. During the 1970s, the airline broadened its offerings to include cargo freighter services to Opa-locka, Florida, and passenger routes to various destinations, including Santo Domingo, the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Martinique, Barbados, Puerto Plata, and other Caribbean locales, in addition to domestic flights to Vieques, Mayagüez, Culebra, and Aguadilla.
