North American Aviation (NAA) was a prominent American aerospace manufacturer known for producing several iconic aircraft, such as the T-6 Texan trainer, the P-51 Mustang fighter, the B-25 Mitchell bomber, the F-86 Sabre jet fighter, the X-15 rocket plane, and the XB-70. Additionally, NAA played a significant role in the development of the Apollo command and service module, the second stage of the Saturn V rocket, the Space Shuttle orbiter, and the B-1 Lancer. Following a series of mergers and acquisitions, North American Aviation became part of North American Rockwell, which subsequently evolved into Rockwell International and is now integrated into Boeing.

The company was established by Clement Melville Keys on December 6, 1928, initially as a holding entity that acquired and divested interests in various airlines and aviation-related businesses. However, the Air Mail Act of 1934 necessitated the dissolution of such holding companies, prompting North American to transition into a manufacturing firm under the leadership of James H. "Dutch" Kindelberger, who had previously worked at Douglas Aircraft Company. NAA maintained ownership of Eastern Air Lines until 1938. In 1933, General Motors Corporation acquired a controlling stake in NAA and merged it with the General Aviation Manufacturing Corporation, while retaining the North American Aviation name.

A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
