Unissued Stock. Rare! The Banana Wars were a sequence of conflicts characterized by military occupation, police actions, and interventions by the United States in Central America and the Caribbean, spanning from the conclusion of the Spanish–American War in 1898 to the establishment of the Good Neighbor Policy in 1934. The military interventions were predominantly executed by the United States Marine Corps, which also created a manual, known as the Small Wars Manual (1921), based on their operational experiences. Occasionally, the United States Navy offered gunfire support, and troops from the United States Army were also dispatched.

With the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1898, the United States gained control over Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines, which were surrendered by Spain. Subsequently, the United States undertook military interventions in Cuba, Panama, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. These conflicts concluded with the withdrawal of troops from Haiti in 1934 during the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt.

A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
