Ingersoll Rand Inc. is a global corporation specializing in flow creation and industrial products. The company was established in February 2020 following the merger of the Industrial segment of Ingersoll-Rand Plc, which is now known as Trane Technologies, and Gardner Denver Holdings Inc. Its extensive product range is marketed under over 40 brands in major markets worldwide. Headquartered in Davidson, North Carolina, Ingersoll Rand operates through two primary divisions: Industrial Technologies and Services, and Precision and Science Technologies. The origins of Ingersoll Rand trace back to 1871 when Simon Ingersoll founded the Ingersoll Rock Drill Company in New York. In 1888, this company merged with Sergeant Drill to create the Ingersoll Sergeant Drill Company, which pioneered the world's first direct-connected, electronic motor-driven compressor. In the same year, brothers Addison Rand and Jasper Rand, Jr. founded the Rand Drill Company, with its main manufacturing facility located in Tarrytown, New York. Rand drills played a crucial role in clearing New York's challenging Hell Gate channel and were instrumental in constructing water aqueducts for both New York City and Washington, D.C., as well as tunnels in Haverstraw, West Point, New York, and Weehawken, New Jersey. In 1905, the Ingersoll-Sergeant Drill Company merged with the Rand Drill Company, leading to the formation of Ingersoll Rand.
Stock and Bond Specimens are made and usually retained by a printer as a record of the contract with a client, generally with manuscript contract notes such as the quantity printed. Specimens are sometimes produced for use by the printing company's sales team as examples of the firm’s products. These are usually marked "Specimen" and have no serial numbers.
