Blue variety is Very Scarce! This is a type for various numbers of shares! Superb Mint Condition! The railroad started as the Platte City and Fort Des Moines Railroad Company on 2/12/1864. It changed its name to the Leavenworth and Des Moines Railway Company on 8/3/1867. It changed again to the Chicago and Southwestern Railway Company on 3/3/1869, and then to the Chicago and South Western Railway Company on 5/21/1869. It ultimately became part of the Chicago Rock Island Railroad.
