Stock printed by American Bank Note Company. Blue Bell, Inc. was established on August 20, 1904, by Charles C. Hudson in Greensboro, North Carolina, taking over the operations of Hudson Manufacturing Company. The company specialized in work apparel and maintained its headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina, from 1904 until 1987, after which it relocated to Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, where it remained until 1994. In 1926, Blue Bell merged with the Big Ben Manufacturing Company, followed by a merger with Globe Superior Corporation in 1936. On August 3, 1984, the Blue Bell Holding Company, Inc. was created to serve as a holding company for Blue Bell, Inc. The VF Corporation acquired Blue Bell in 1986, integrating its operations. Subsequently, the Greensboro headquarters was closed and merged with VF's facility in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. By early 1994, Blue Bell was fully integrated into the Wrangler Apparel Corporation, which had previously been a subsidiary.
