Hellmann's and Best Foods are American brand names representing the same range of mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, sauces, salad dressings, condiments, and various other food items. Since 2000, these brands have been under the ownership of the British multinational corporation Unilever. The Hellmann's brand is available in the Middle East, the eastern United States (east of the Rocky Mountains), Latin America, Europe, Australia, Canada, India, and Pakistan. Conversely, the Best Foods brand is distributed in the western United States (west of the Rocky Mountains), East Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Both brands are marketed similarly, featuring comparable logos and websites, and they share the same slogan: "Bring out the best." Previously, both brands were part of the U.S.-based Bestfoods Corporation, which also offered a variety of other food products alongside Hellmann's and Best Foods mayonnaise. Bestfoods, which was known as CPC International prior to 1997, was acquired by Unilever in 2000.
A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
