Incorporated in Ontario in December 1927, Alexandria Gold Mines, Limited was established as a holding company to acquire a significant block of shares in the British Columbia-based Alexandria Mining Company, Limited . The enterprise was formed by H.W. Waters and associates to further develop mining properties located on the Fraser River in British Columbia, specifically focusing on the Alexandra claim near Phillips Arm, which had been originally Crown-granted in the late 1890s. This early 20th-century operation focused on exploring quartz veins containing gold-bearing pyrite, with development work, including the sinking of shafts and driving of adits, continuing until approximately 1931.

Following the early development era, the property saw further interest from the Premier Gold Mining Company, Limited, which optioned the site in 1933. While the original company faced financial limitations during its 1920s and 1930s efforts, it established foundational work in the region. The name later appeared in Canadian mining history through the 21st-century entity, Alexandria Minerals Corporation, which, although a separate entity founded in 2002, echoed the legacy of early gold exploration in Canada before being acquired by O3 Mining in 2019.

A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
