Handwritten account of money received by the Town of Haddam from Continental soldiers.
The Revolutionary War Soldiers, when they were paid anything at all were paid in almost worthless Continental Currency. They were allowed, however, to buy certain supplies for themselves and their families with this money thru Committees of Supplies.
