Erik Robbins Lindbergh, born in 1965, is an American aviator, adventurer, and artist. He is the grandson of the renowned aviator Charles Lindbergh, who made history in 1927 as the first individual to fly non-stop and solo from New York to Paris. In 2002, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of his grandfather's remarkable flight, Erik Lindbergh retraced the same route in a single-engine Lancair aircraft. This journey was documented by the History Channel, raised over one million dollars for three charitable organizations, generated half a billion media impressions for the X PRIZE Foundation, and played a significant role in revitalizing the private spaceflight sector. The flight also inspired a call from President George W. Bush, recognizing its impact in uplifting the nation following the events of September 11.

Peter H. Diamandis, born on May 20, 1961, is a prominent American marketer, engineer, physician, and entrepreneur. He is widely recognized as the founder and chairman of the XPRIZE Foundation, as well as the cofounder and executive chairman of Singularity University. Additionally, he has played significant roles as the cofounder and former CEO of the Zero Gravity Corporation, cofounder and vice chairman of Space Adventures Ltd., founder and chairman of the Rocket Racing League, cofounder of the International Space University, cofounder of Planetary Resources, cofounder of Celularity, founder of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, and vice chairman and cofounder of Human Longevity, Inc.

In addition to his aviation pursuits, he is a member of the board of the X PRIZE Foundation, which oversaw the Ansari X Prize aimed at developing the first non-governmental reusable crewed spacecraft. He also serves on the NatureBridge Olympic Board of Directors. The X Prize is regarded as a significant advancement for the promotion of space tourism and private spaceflight, drawing inspiration from the Orteig Prize, which was awarded to Charles Lindbergh for his transatlantic flight in 1927.

The XPRIZE Foundation is a non-profit entity that creates and organizes public competitions aimed at fostering technological advancement. The mission of XPRIZE is to achieve "radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity" by means of incentivized competition. Its goal is to inspire individuals, corporations, and organizations to innovate and develop new ideas and technologies. The Ansari X Prize, which pertains to the advancement of spacecraft technology, was awarded in 2004 with the purpose of stimulating research and development in the field of space exploration.

A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
