Stock printed by Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited. Molybdenite is a mineral composed of molybdenum disulfide, represented by the formula MoS2. It bears a resemblance to graphite in both appearance and texture, exhibiting a lubricating property due to its layered structure. The atomic arrangement features a layer of molybdenum atoms positioned between layers of sulfur atoms. While the Mo-S bonds are robust, the interactions between the sulfur atoms at the upper and lower ends of the distinct tri-layered structure are relatively weak, facilitating easy slippage and the formation of cleavage planes. Molybdenite crystallizes in the hexagonal crystal system, predominantly as the 2H polytype, and also occurs in the trigonal system as the 3R polytype.

A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
