Crane Co., an American industrial products firm headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, was established by Richard Teller Crane in 1855. It emerged as a prominent manufacturer of bathroom fixtures in the United States until 1990, when that division was divested. In 1960, the company initiated its transformation into a holding entity with a varied portfolio. Its business divisions encompass Aerospace & Electronics, Engineered Materials (including fiberglass paneling and telecommunications equipment), Payment and Merchandising Technology (covering vending machines, payment solutions, currency technology, and printing), Fluid Handling, and Controls (focusing on sensing and control systems). These segments cater to various industries, such as chemicals, commercial construction, food and beverage, general and commercial aviation, and power generation.

To the general public, Crane Co. is primarily recognized as a major producer of vending machines through its subsidiary, Crane Merchandising Systems. The company has broadened its range of snack machines by acquiring Glasco Polyvend Lektrovend (GPL) and Automatic Products (APi), which were marketed as distinct brands from Crane Co.'s main National line until 2017. Additionally, Crane Co. has purchased Dixie-Narco from Maytag, thereby enhancing its portfolio with a comprehensive selection of soda machines.

A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
