DTE Energy, formerly known as Detroit Edison until 1996, is a diversified energy corporation headquartered in Detroit. It operates energy-related enterprises and services across the United States and Canada. DTE’s electric utility serves 2.2 million customers, while its natural gas utility caters to 1.3 million customers in Michigan. The company operates on both national and international levels.
DTE’s portfolio extends beyond utilities. It includes non-utility energy ventures focused on power and industrial projects, as well as energy marketing and trading. As of 2022, DTE’s electricity generation sources included 54.16% from coal, 18.16% from nuclear, 14.22% from natural gas, and 13.11% from renewable sources such as wind, solar, and hydroelectric power.
DTE’s earliest direct predecessor, the Edison Illuminating Company of Detroit, was established in 1886. By the early 1900s, the company shared the responsibility for commercial electric power in Detroit with the Peninsular Electric Light Company, which managed the city’s electric distribution network.
Stock and Bond Specimens are made and usually retained by a printer as a record of the contract with a client, generally with manuscript contract notes such as the quantity printed. Specimens are sometimes produced for use by the printing company's sales team as examples of the firm’s products. These are usually marked "Specimen" and have no serial numbers.
