Wrigley Pharmaceutical Co. signed by W.W. Wrigley - "Not" the Famous Chewing Gum Magnate - Stock Certificate

Inv# GS1362   Stock
State(s): Delaware
Years: 1920's-30's

Stock signed by W. W. Wrigley. Most people are so very excited that they have an autograph of William Wrigley Jr. of chewing gum fame. This toothpaste manufacturing stock is signed by a different Wrigley! It is very interesting that the toothpaste tube vignette seems to copy the graphics from the stick of gum! In fact, this Wrigley was sued in the courts by the real Wrigley. Still, the toothpaste product did exist and was sold on the boardwalk at Atlantic City as well as in pharmacies. Scarce and very, very interesting. An extremely popular stock.

Condition: Excellent

A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
