Handwritten Land sale agreement between Lukens and Montgomery, agents for Robert H. Day and Napoleon B. Archambault (relative of Napoleon Bonaparte). Signed by Archambault. 3 cents and 2 cents revenue stamp on front and 2 cents on back.

 

Napoleon B. Archambault, son of Major Joseph Archambault, who accompanied the Emperor Napoleon into exile on St. Helena. Joseph passed down to his sons stockings which had been worn by the Emperor. Napoleon Archambault lived at 3032 Girard Avenue in Philadelphia. He died at age 68 of heart disease, so birth year is an estimate. He was originally buried at Odd Fellows Cemetery (Section C, Lot 369) in North Philadelphia which closed in 1951 and he was removed to Lawnview.
