Moses Taylor (1806-1882), very important 19th Century Banker and Capitalist. Starting as an importer and sugar broker, he became President of the City Bank, NY in 1855-1882. In the panic of 1857, he gained a controlling interest in the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western RR.
