Specimen Stock printed by Columbian Bank Note Company. Dayco Products, previously recognized as Mark IV Industries, is an American supplier of components for the construction, automotive, and industrial sectors. The company generates annual revenues of around US$150 million, with key clients including Caterpillar and General Motors. Founded in 1905 as Dayton Rubber Manufacturing Co. by Colonel J. C. Hooven in Ohio, the company initially produced items like garden hoses from natural rubber. In 1908, it employed John A. MacMillan, who introduced the airless tire. By 1913, Dayco had also manufactured the first whitewall tires. The early 1920s marked a period of diversification for the company, significantly expanding its product range.

Over time, Dayco began producing a wide array of rubber components and textiles, and it was a pioneer in synthetic rubber products, including the first synthetic rubber tire. During World War II, the company became a crucial supplier of military goods. In 1960, it officially rebranded as DAYCO Corporation. In April 2009, Dayco sought bankruptcy protection, successfully emerging from it approximately six months later, having reduced its debt by about $750 million. In 2015, the company faced backlash when it announced the closure of its two Distribution Centers in North Carolina and one in Nevada, consolidating operations into its facility in Memphis, Tennessee. This decision garnered media coverage and resulted in the loss of several hundred jobs.
