Pony, Montana is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in northeastern Madison County, Montana, United States. It is located on the eastern edge of the Tobacco Root Mountains. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 127. Pony includes the 192-acre (78 ha) Pony Historic District, a historic district with 95 contributing buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Helena, Montana is the capital city of the U.S. state of Montana and the seat of Lewis and Clark County. It was founded as a gold camp during the Montana gold rush and established on October 30, 1864. As a result of the gold rush, Helena became a wealthy city, with approximately 50 millionaires living in the area by 1888. The concentration of wealth contributed to the city's prominent and elaborate Victorian architecture.
