Thomas D. Murphy Calendar, 14" x 20.25". Artwork by N. C. Wyeth (1882-1945), American artist and illustrator. He studied under Howard Pyle. His first published work appeared on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post in 1903. In 1911 he painted a series of illustrations for an edition of the book, Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. He also illustrated editions of Robinson Crusoe, The Last of the Mohicans, and Kidnapped. One of the most successful illustrators of all time. He painted nearly 4,000 illustrations for the Saturday Evening Post. Father of Andrew Wyeth. Lincoln writes at his desk. A black man sadly sits at the back of the office.
