Stock. The Terre Haute & Indianapolis RR was chartered in 1847. By the end of the Civil War it became part of an important east-west trunk line. When a Cincinnati syndicate threatened to take control of the line in 1867, the board voted William Riley McKeen its president to keep the railroad independent. Signed by McKeen as president. 25 cent revenue stamp available on some.
