Stock with 25 cents revenue stamp. Rare! Ridgefield and New York Railroad - began 1867 to build a line from just east of Port Chester, New York to Ridgefield. It was almost completely graded when the Panic of 1873 stopped work. The company survived, and was trying to finish and extend to Danbury up to 1906 when the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad bought it out to get rid of it.
