Charles Scribner (1854-1930), New York Publisher, Son of Charles Scribner (1821-1871). Entering the publishing house established by his father, he served it as president, 1879-1928, and was thereafter chairman of the board. He was active also as a banker and as a benefactor of Princeton University and Skidmore College. 100 Share Stock dated 1915 issued to Charles Scribner and Arthur H. Scribner as Trustees.
